This is one of my favorite song. It's called Ha Trang (Rays of Summer). I arranged more variation base on the existed score of Phung Tuan Vu (classical guitar composer). NEWEST ILLUSTRATIONS

This is my newest digital illustration, the race is based on the novel "The Red Car." All was painted in Corel Painter X. I'm happy with it!
This is my midterm for the descriptive drawing class. I think it's not good enough! :(. But I show it anyway hehehehh! :) I need help on this one, so if you have comments or suggestions. Please let me know! This is a conceptual works, my theme for this illustration is "global warming." The process took a little longer than I thought to come up with this idea. Thank you very much for looking! and enjoy your stay! I'll have more works up later. Wait and see hehehhe. New work again, this image was drawn with prismacolor pencil on hot press illustration board again. My sister took the photo when my family took a trip to the "aquarium of the pacific." I think the photo is nice and did this drawing. I think my scanner is not good enough. Some details are lost, but I think it looks okay! Any comments are welcome.

Graphic Design Poster!!

This is the first post that related to graphic design since I created this blog. This poster I did when i took the "History of graphic design" class. The poster is based on the conceptual poster of a Polish graphic designer named Tadeusz Trepkowski. The poster is an antiwar poster, it's design in 1953. Even though the poster is very simple, but it has a lot of meaning in it. I always love conceptual image, this is one of my favorite poster I learnt in this class. That's why i created my gun control poster from this antiwar poster. This is my newest graphic work, but it will not in my porfolio because it's based on the existed poster design. Parable of the Prodigal Son Updated May 8, 08

So I'm done with this children book and I'm happy with it! The semester is over! Have a great summer everybody! This is the last one.
One more to go, this is the fifth one. This illustration shows the younger son goes back home. His father sees him far away. This is one of my favorite now, heheh. Please give me any suggestion if you have. Thanks you very much!This is the fourth one. The illustration shows how he lost all the money and end up being a servant. More will come later!Just finished one more illustration, this one I want to show how the younger one lost his money. Some of my classmates said that it will be better if I have this illustration to make the story more specific. So here it is!This is the Second One! Note: these are water buffalo (they're black), not cow (orange) for those who don't know water buffalo hehehh :) I'm still working on it. If you have some comments, please say it. It's very important to me! I need more negative comments than positive heheheh. This is my favorite story in Bible! The younger son is me! This is my another newest painting, i did it for "The Society of Childrens Book Writers and Illustrators" contest. But I forget the deadline of this contest. It dued early than i thought, so I didn't turn it in, :( But this is also a class project. I really like it! Please take a look and give me some comments to make it better. Note: The reason i draw the rabbit runs out of the race or to the wrong way is this: I'm Vietnamese, and there is no rabbit in vietnamese 12 zodiacs. The rabbit is in Chinese culture, in Vietnam we have the cat instead of rabbit! heheh.

From last post, I promised to upload some more animations! So here they are!

The first one (Leaf Drop) I did in the introduction class 2 years ago. It was a pain doing it, but I'm very happy with it! The second animation is my newest one (Boots and Coat) test. The animation seems to be jumped up and down a little because of the scanner problem. I'll fix it later! Please give me some comments to help it better! I hope you guys like it. These are the some of my animation tests that I did for my Introduction to traditional animation class which i took about 2 years ago. This is for testing and for fun!!! More animations will be updated soon. I'm currently working on my "special study of animation" class. Maybe at the end of May, I'll show them all here, heheheh!!! I think the animation is not really good, but i like because it's my first animation!

My First Corel Painter Works!!

So It's Spring Break, I have time to fix some of the bad works. From the feedbacks, I changed the lighting, add shadow, fixed the face. But the face still looked the same, it's hard to change the expression because the character makes herself ugly! hehehh I also made some changes to my treehouse, folks! I'm happy with it, I fixed the tree (leaves) added more highlight to the objects. Before the light at the bottom of tree didn't turn on, so I decided to turn it on to help people to see the walkway! heheh. fixed the water a little bit. That's it! If you guys still have comments, shout it!! Can you see the better result from your feedbacks! Once again, thank you very much for everyone's comments!
